February 22, 2015

New 110 kV C-128 Cable Line with Neva River Underwater Crossing testing and commissioning was completed in the framework of implementation of works under title «Modernization of 110 kV Cable Line in terms of C-18, C-129) (construction and installation of the liner part, cables procurement) for needs of JSC Lenenergo.

On February 22, 2015 in St. Petersburg the new 110 kV C-128 Cable Line was supplied with operating voltage; Cable Line was commissioned for operation through the permanent circuit (loaded).

The initial point of the cable line is 110 kV closed SWGR of SS No 14 Baltiyskaya located in Kosaya Line, the Vasilyevsky Island. Then the cable runs over the bottom of the Bolshaya Neva River, while the terminating point of 110 kV cable line is 110 kV open SWGR of SS No 238 Belaya Mel’ located in the Bely Island.

The Bely Island is an artificial island located on the left side of the Neva River estuary, St. Petersburg. The island accommodates the Central Aeration Station of SUE Vodokanal, which is the largest water treatment facilities complex.

The new 110 kV Cable Line has enhanced power supply consistency of the basic load, i.e. the Central Aeration Station of SUE Vodokanal.
